*Base model full-distance top tube bags start at $165. After the deposit, the remaining balance at project completion is typically $90 or more, depending on your selected add-ons.
*After your deposit, I’ll reach out to set up a planning session and go over any questions you might have.
When you’re heading deep into the backcountry, it makes sense to use the space on your top tube for essentials like fuel, electronics, and morale boosters. Featured on winning rigs at the Silk Road Mountain Race, Arkansas High Country Race, and DOOM, these bags have become a favorite among ultra-distance cyclists. Think top tube bag, but far more spacious, durable, and practical.
We’ll work together to design a full-length bag that maximizes the space above your bike’s top tube. Front height, rear height, width, length, and taper are all tailored to your specifications.
Each bag includes three internal compartments, dual zippers, a foam floor, and a daisy-chained shock cord or Velcro attachment system. If you’re running a frame bag with a laced top tube, the same shock cord can secure both bags for a clean, cohesive look.
Ecopak EPX200 is my standard SCSW frame bag material for its balance of technical performance, sustainable production, and wide color range. It is a proven, long-lasting fabric suited to any conditions. Ultra 200 UHMWPE is a premium upgrade that is lighter and stronger, and it is available in silver, black, or white for an additional $35 for the top tube bags. EPX200 performs beautifully in any situation, but Ultra 200 takes things a step further. It is like comparing 4130 chromoly to titanium: both are outstanding, just different in character.
Possible add-ons are $25 each and include:
~non-drive side external mesh pocket (perfect for sticky food trash or a tracker)
~drive side cord port (terrific for on-the-go charging at the cockpit)
"I was doubtful at first, but once I tried it I knew I was going to be full-length top tube bag for life." -- Hannah Simon, Silk Road Mountain Race winner
"I have to admit, I have been curious, yet leery, of using a full-length top tube bag, but it is amazing! Definitely a huge compliment to a bike with a dropper post and more solid than any other top tube bag I've used."-- Jacob Loos, Ozark Gravel Doom single-speed winner
